Nine5Four The Magazine:Model Feature Thao NguyenTHIS IS WHY I’M HOT!

Hi Thao. Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to chat with me. I know how hectic life can get during a move. lol. Let’s start with the basics first and get you warmed up lol... Age, Location, Nationality and Measurements?

Well, first of all, I would like to thank you for letting me be a part of your magazine...I am very honored. :)

My name is Thao and I am 27 yrs old. I am full Vietnamese, and live in Orange County, CA.

My measurements are 34D/26/36.

You have a VERY diversified Portfolio. The images I saw were unbelievable. How long has it taken you to build such a creative portfolio?

Thank you very much. I started to rebuild my portfolio about a year and a half ago when I decided to get back into the world of acting and modeling. I have been very blessed to have worked with some wonderful photographers, makeup artists, and stylists, who I thank for helping me along the way.

A lot of people have their personal opinions on nude modeling etc. obviously this is not a problem for you. What are your thoughts or comments for those who look down at this type of modeling?

I have always been very comfortable with my body. I am aware that nude modeling is not for everyone, and I completely respect that. But for me, as long as it is done tastefully and artistically, I see no harm done. The female body is a beautiful work of art, and I think it’s empowering when a woman is free and confident enough to express herself in that way.

Well I can say you know how to be sexy, this is definitely apparent in your images and it is more than the type of clothes you have on, it’s all in the look you present. How do you know when to turn it on or off in certain situations?

I believe all women possess that talent...Lol. :)

Hahaha. Yea your right about that. To date, what has been your favorite overall shoot and why?

Wow, I’ve had so many great shoots!... But if I have to pick just one, it would be my first Playboy shoot which was for College Girls Newsstand Special. I was so young and eager, and just extremely excited to be shooting with such a prestigious magazine. I felt like such a movie star with everyone pampering me with hair and makeup... I can never get sick of that feeling. :)

How did you get yourself involved in the modeling industry and where has it taken you so far? Where are you looking to go with the modeling thing?

I was approached by a model scout at the mall when I was 18. I ended up meeting and signing with a small agency in Beverly Hills, and it kinda just took off from there. I would love to continue doing what I love, and also get more into acting as well.

You have clearly accomplished a lot from calendars, to book covers, to Magazine covers the works so far. Tell us something’s you haven’t accomplished that you would like to accomplish?

There is so much more I still want to accomplish. I would love to get more into fashion and editorial, and maybe see myself on a billboard for a huge, national campaign. I hope to do more magazine and print work, but ultimately my dreams are of being on the big screen.

Do you have any projects in the works now that we should keep an eye out for?

I have some small featured parts in a couple movies coming out this year. The first is “Get Him Back to the Greek” which is the follow-up to “Forgetting Sara Marshall.” The other is “The Green Hornet” which stars Cameron Diaz and Seth Rogan. I am also featured in a motorcycle calendar that will be coming out 2010-2011.

So are you married, single, taken? I’m pretty sure curious minds will want to know lol

I am not married, but I am currently taken... :) He’s a really nice guy who’s always been very supportive of my modeling.

Nine5Four The Magazine: Model Feature Thao NguyenSo if someone is looking to book you or contact you, where should they go?

Who are some of your influences in the modeling industry today?

Heidi Klum and Tyra Banks. They both started out as models, but worked hard to prove that they can be more than just a pretty face. They are both hugely successful business women now who star and produce their own shows. Not only that, but Heidi Klum is also a Mom and wife, and seems to balance her personal and professional life extremely well. I truly admire that.

If you could change one thing about yourself or your life, what would it be and why?

I would like to be a bit more adventurous. I always stay within my comfort zone, and would like to try to get out more and explore different things, people, places, foods, etc. I just feel there is so much more to experience that I am currently missing out on.

So pass on a few words of wisdom will you please, if a model is looking to get into this business, what should he/she do to get started and what should they stay away from in your experience?

Do your homework and research agencies or managers you’re looking to work with. Try to always have someone go with you if you can. And if it’s a legitimate modeling agency, you shouldn’t have to fork out tons of money to build your portfolio. There’s always minor costs here and there, but it shouldn’t be anything unreasonable.

Do you have any final words or shout outs?

Thanks again for having me on Nine5Four. I hope it won’t be the last... :)

Also, to all my fans, family, and friends...I luv you all!

Thanks again for taking the time out to chat with me. Your work is Amazing and I am definitely looking forward to seeing more big things coming out of you, Maybe a cover in Nine5Four Later this year? You already know lol... Thanks Thao...

Most definitely!!! ...Until then, stay blessed! Muah! :)
